Franz Nicolay, the mustachioed multi-instrumentalist that you may know from his two well known projects, The Hold Steady and The World/Inferno Friendship society has just released a new video for the song "Jeff Penatly" from his latest solo release,
Major General. The video portrays Nicolay looking more like Salvador Dali than ever before, and perhaps coincidentally, there is a painter in the video. This painter, who plays the role of Jeff What's His Name, looks like a talentless hack until the very end of the video when we are forced to re-think that notion and finally remember the name of Jeff Penalty. -
