Free Energy, the pop-rockers from Philly, are giving the fans a chance to star in their new video for "Bang Pop". Auditions are happening at the Urban Outfitters (LOL) at 1627 Walnut Street TODAY, April 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to show up, a DUH! You might be breaking out this time! Get it? Because lyrics. Oh, they are also touring.
For the video: There are only 100 parts, but EVERYONE gets to meet the band if they show up! You must be available between April 16th-19th for shooting. Bring a photo ID.
Full disclosure: totally digging these guys. Free Energy are the latest James Murphy produced rock act to grace the DFA catalog. Their debut album
Stuck On Nothing, has received several critical accolades, including several "thumbs up" and a "high five" (from this guy). Their music is, as my Dad puts it, "perfect driving tuneage". How both of my parents managed to get into this post is disturbing to me.
