THE SPECIALS REUNITE ON JOOLS HOLLAND

We've all gone through a ska phase at some point in our lives. Who could resist those amazing bass-lines, syncopated guitar, and mountains of brass instruments? Bands like The Skatalites, The Specials and The Toasters or more recent bands like Reel Big Fish and Catch 22 have been instrumental in many a young person's coming of age. It is therefore, a big deal when one of the most influential ska bands to ever exist decide to get back together. So while there are many that may not even know who The Specials are nowadays, for many others a Specials reunion is something that really is quite...well special. The Specials (minus original member Jerry Dammers) got together once again last night on Later...with Jools Holland and performed some of their classics, including "A Message to You Rudy" and "Gangsters".
