Suckers may be an art-pop collective from Brooklyn, but their music is much more unique and original than that wordy pigeonhole would suggest. They tip-toe their way through "Turn on the Sunshine"-- the first taste of their unsettling Candy Salad-- like a Modest Mouse/Real Estate zombie-lovechild (without any Brock-ish freakouts from lead singer Quinn Walker). It's a pretty tame first track, but we're expecting things to get a little more wild on the follow-up to Wild Smile, despite the suggestion here.
