PREMIERE: The Youthful Maturity of Spencer Barnett

I don't know about you, but when I was 14, I definitely didn't have the kind of voice Spencer Barnett makes seem so easy. Hell, I'm 26; it's probably time to come to terms with the fact that I'll never have the voice this kid has. A 14 year old shouldn't be able to tackle John Legend's "All Of Me" and sound like a seasoned pro, but here we are.

Spencer is putting out an EP of covers, and when you're covering legendary voices like Bon Iver and Jeff Buckley (or Leonard Cohen depending on whose version of "Hallelujah" you consider to be the definitive take on the song), you've got guts. If this is what Spencer sounds like singing other people's music, we can't wait to hear him do his own stuff some day. Check out his cover of "All of Me" below, and head here to pick up his EP on iTunes.
