On Sunday night's Juno Awards, Arcade Fire
performed the track "Rococo" off of their highly acclaimed album The Suburbs
, which has proven to be an award magnet. The band and their third studio album continued their winning streak on Sunday, bringing home the awards for Album of The Year, Group of The Year, Songwriter of The Year, as well as Alternative Album of The Year. The band donned some spruced up outfits with a slightly less dramatic Panic! At The Disco feel during their performance of the jarringly hypnotic song, and showed the Juno Awards why their seamless fusion of eclectic taste and genuine talent has been so highly rewarded.
Other winners of the night include the celebrity remix of The World Cup's theme song "Wavin' flag", which won for Single of The Year. And as Justin Bieber is incapable of going five minutes without mentioning how Canadian he is, the Canadian awards show decided to thank his promotion with two Juno awards of his own for Juno Fan Choice Award (surprise, surprise) and Pop Album of The Year. If this is less than pleasing to you, feel free to recover from this news by watching Arcade Fire's performance of "Rococo" below:
