Pratt punksters Japanther dropped a new single yesterday, "Take Me In and Let Me Go", from their upcoming album Instant Money Magic. These artsy Brooklyn characters have been terrorizing the streets with great music since 2001. From the top of the Williamsburg Bridge down to the back of a moving vehicle, Japanther are pouncing on every opportunity to play in the strangest places. Like a modern Brooklyn counterpart for Reagan Youth, Japanther fuse adolescent angsty vocals with raging punk.

I feel inspired to start the politest mosh pit listening to "Take Me In and Let Me Go". The anthemic vocals alongside cheerful dings of what sounds like a high pitched harpsichord, provide a playful optimism to their punchy punk. The album Instant Money Magic is out on April 15th on Japanther's very own Tut Tut Now Shake Ya Butt (Tapes). Listen below.
