With both a bonafied hit of comedy series on HBO and a golden Grammy in their pocket for
The Distant Future EP,
Flight of the Conchords New Zealands fourth most popular folk comedy duo have hit it rather big. Like, way bigger than the Doggy Bounce ever will (Doggy dos and doggy donts, doggy wills and doggy wonts). But a little indie cred - a tip of the cap in the name of all that is real why, thats really where it seems to be at these days, and on April 22nd Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie will officially get theirs. Releasing an album on
Sub Pop tends to do that kind of thing.
Those keeping up with the Conchords most likely already know the bulk of their self-titled albums source material. Yet having fifteen fully fleshed out homages to the likes of inner city pressures, David Bowie, and making love for two (among plenty of other side splitting topics) serves quite the companion piece to your already worn out copy of Season 1.
Ahead of the albums release, we too want to do something special for all the ladies - and well everyone else for that matter of the world. Grab
Flight of the Conchords' first taste, Ladies of the World, as well as a full track listing below.
