As far as day parties go (ours excluded), you couldn't nail it harder than the incredible double bill by

Force Field PR, who had both Real Estate and Neon Indian (as well as Choir Of Young Believers, Toro Y Moi, Oh No Ono, Those Darlins, and more!) playing a free show at Red 7 last week. A few beers in and the sound didn't suck nearly as much! Just kidding, it was still pretty bad. But the bands were great!
Red 7 is a pretty cool venue, located on 7th street in the party zone of Austin, so being in the thick of the throngs of daygoers and badgeholders was a nice start to the week. Early Wednesday afternoon we parked ourselves in the courtyard/outdoor stage space to drink beer and jam out. Check out some pictures from the day below. -
