When I saw
The National open for Modest Mouse open for REM that pretty much sums up the situation, as far as notoriety in my brain. Fast forward to today and
High Violet is extremely anticipated (by us) as the medium between anthems and introspection. First single "Bloodbuzz Ohio" certainly backs up that stake, a charming chug-along which uses simple elements to create an atmospheric effect... but you already know how well they do that.
High Violet is out 5/11 via 4AD. -
