They may sound like a steam-punk band that plays on hot water-powered guitars, but these New Jersey rockers are no more period than Titus Andronicus (who earlier this year rode a magical train to the Civil War while still making references to modern highways). The theme is still Americana, whatever the case...
The Gaslight Anthem has announced the tracklist and the first single for their forthcoming album,
American Slang.
"American Slang" is probably a good indication of what to expect from the album of the same name, power chords, hooks, and all the classic fist pumping anthemic guts and glory style you can handle. With production credits by Ted Hutt (GA veteran from
The 59 Sound), it's all but guaranteed. Check out "American Slang" on the bands website.
American Slang is due 6/15 on SideOneDummy Records. -
