This past weekend at Lollapalooza in Argentina, audience members at the main stage during Jack White's
headlining performance were treated to a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Amidst the cacophony of the ending swell of one of White's songs, Robert Plant
stormed on stage and proceeded to perform Led Zeppelin's
classic track "Lemon Song" with White on guitar. Robert Plant is still making headlines and touring with his band, The Sensational Space Shifters, but it's not everyday you get to hear him belt out a Zeppelin tune.
You can see White calling something out to the violinist and the drummer before Plant comes out, hinting that the collaboration may have been off-the-cuff, which would be even cooler. The band faithfully captured that raw, heavy Zeppelin sound, and Plant bafflingly sounded like he was being live-streamed from 1969. Jack White punished the six strings, making his ancestors proud and providing Robert with the unholy energy necessary to summon such a performance.
Be jealous that you weren't in Argentina for this, but check out the above video to ease the pain, and enjoy Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters below.
