Warm weather, freshly made fajitas and cold tall-boys of Lonestar were among the additions to our lineup of ten awesome acts playing the Scoot Inn. Together, they made for an incredible day of sun-soaked music and fun. After the jump, check out some pictures from last Thursday at the Baeble SXSW day party, held on the east side of I-35 at one of Austin's oldest beer joints.
If you missed it, don't worry! As usual we caught all the acts on film, and we will be releasing each set as a separate concert over the next few months (pending album release schedules and band approvals). Keep checking the site for our latest SXSW release.
Thanks to everyone who played/attended/came to help out, it was a pleasure meeting you all. Special thanks to former intern Amelia and day-party helper and native Austinite Mel. I especially enjoyed talking to every single band; double thanks to our amazing artists for taking the time to sit in front of a camera and chat with us. Specific thanks to Brooklyn's Javelin who, like us, left their sunscreen at home and were reluctant to sit in the sun during their interview. We feel your pain. Also special thanks to the dude from Sea Bear who let me accidentally call him Bear Hands before awkwardly covering it up, and still was pleasant enough to talk about Icelandic food (it was a long, long day). And finally, special thanks to the dude from Dappled Cities who did his American accent on camera for me. He's an Australian hero.
