So, you know you've come a long way when Elton John interviews you. Beats 1 aired a conversation between Father John Misty and the "Rocket Man" singer and supposedly, Sir Elton John is a huge fan of FJM.

On the episode, Elton played some of FJM's hits, and during the interview, Elton asked about the recording process of his songs. The series is called Rocket Hour and it's used to showcase some of the contemporary music Elton John is listening to. Turns out - he's a huge fan of the former Fleet Foxes band member.

Josh Tillman - aka Father John Misty - called in to talk to Elton about his former obsessions. The two discussed the analog recording process behind his latest album, Pure Comedy, right after answering the phone saying, "Is this Elton John? Ive been expecting you." The two bonded about the magic feeling of tape recording and continued to talk about Elton's love for the previous Fleet Foxes albums. It's pretty incredible and it reminds us why Father John Misty is one hell of a human being.
