Earl Sweatshirt and the Dark Side of Grief

Earl Sweatshirt has always been up there with Frank Ocean as the most interesting (and generally least problematic/homophobic/misogynistic) member of the Odd Future crew, and Wolf Gang's resident wunderking has just announced his newest LP, the darkly titled I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside due next Tuesday on March 23rd. He's also dropped the premiere video & single off the new record, "Grief." And it's a doozy. The swirling, noxious beats are enough to leave you queasy but in a fascinating way, and the song's experimental video rings of a mixture of David Lynch and weird Andy Warhol Factory avant cinema. It's a heavy note to start your morning on, but it leaves us curious what direction Earl is heading towards on his new record.
