Live Nations newly inaugurated
Pemberton Festival. Scheduled to take place July 25th 27th, Pemberton is a three day, European style festival set against the majestic backdrop of British Columbias jagged, snow capped peaks
a concert setting that will give all but Washington States aw inspiring Sasquatch fest a run for its money in the aesthetic department.
Already confirmed to perform, the Pemberton Festival will feature big money acts like
Coldplay, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, Interpol, Death Cab For Cutie, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, plus smaller up and comers like
Vampire Weekend, MGMT, and
Grand Ole Party. Expect 50 total bands on two stages over the course of the entire weekend.
Following a pleasant, recent kind of trend, festival organizers will also make every effort to ensure the fest puts as little tax on its mountain home as possible. Hydro-electric energy is expected to power the grounds, and organizers will promote car pooling initiatives by offering those traveling in groups of 4 or more free parking. In addition, a farmers market that will allow local farmers the opportunity to sell their produce items direct to concert goers on the site is currently in the works.
Also look for plenty of on site camping and other Hotel accommodations of a wide variety throughout the area. Pemberton, is approximately a two hour drive from Vancouver.
Tickets for Pemberton go on sale Friday, March 28th.
