Empress Of's Latest Track Is A Piece Of Quiet But Radical Feminism

Last week, our Throwback Thursday feature (a recurring, weekly series where we shine a spotlight on some of our favorite past Baeble sessions) was centered around NY singer-songwriter Empress Of. We got to shoot her at an incredible SXSW showcase in Austin, TX, way back in 2013. And she's roaring back with new tunes, including today's "Woman Is A Word."

Pairing quietly radical statements on feminism with synth-pop? Yeah, we here at Baeble can dig that. Empress of shared her sophomore album, Me, in 2015, and if we're already getting new tunes, this has us very excited about what 2016 holds. "Woman Is A Word" tackles female objectification as well as female desire, and we can't wait to hear what else Empress Of has in store.
