Biggie Smalls... perhaps the greatest rapper that ever lived. Lana Del Rey... an outrageously over-hyped pop star with one of the most high-profile critical flops of a debut ever. These are two artists that simple logic and good taste says should never be paired together. As brought to our attention by NME, someone obviously disagreed.

Taking the music (and occasional vocals) from Lana Del Rey's Born to Die and mixing it up with the lyrics from the Notorious B.I.G.'s classic Ready to Die, D.J.'s Mick Boogie and Terry Urban crafted an entirely new album out of the pairing, cleverly titled Born Ready to Die. We aren't big Lana fans (or even Lana fans at all), but damn, this is really good. The whole album is available to stream below and we recommend that you either start out with "Wrong Game" (mixing Biggie's "Dead Wrong" and Lana's smash hit "Video Games") or "Suicidal Axl." Even if you're as tired of the endless Lana hype machine as we are, this is tight.
