Baroque pop star
Andrew Bird, whose newest and very well-received album
Break It Yourself has pushed him to the forefront of blogosphere buzz, paid a visit to the Colbert Report, and it went down about as hilariously as you'd expect. Performing "Eyeoneye" from
Break It Yourself as well as sitting down for an interview with Colbert where Colbert couldn't quite keep a straight face during his own ridiculous questions and Andrew Bird didn't seem quite ready for the irreverence being thrown his way, Andrew Bird earned his "Colbert Bump." It may not have achieved the bizarro factor of
Bjork's visit but my boss still had to tell me to calm down because I was breaking into random giggle fits during the whole interview. We want to be invited to Halloween parties where it's acceptable to dress as gay Abraham Lincoln while playing Andrew Bird records.
