Chvrches Had A Surprise Performance With Paramore's Hayley Williams

Paramore hosted it's second Parahoy cruise with special guest Chvrches (amongst a few other bands) and now that the ship has anchored, attendees have stories to tell about the four day voyage. During one of Chvrches' sets, they brought out Hayley Williams to help Chvrches singer, Lauren Mayberry, sing "Bury It!" off the Scottish group's album Every Open Eye. This isn't the first rendezvous with the two - Williams also joined Mayberry onstage while Chvrches performed in Nashville during their tour last year.

The wind was blowing across the deck of the ship as Mayberry welcomed Williams to the stage and the energy of the crowd instantly skyrocketed. The fans shouted the chords of the song's introduction as if they were at a heavy metal show preparing to mosh-pit. Mayberry is normally more reserved on stage but she broke out of her shell a bit while sharing the stage with energetic firecracker, Hayley Williams. The crowd shouted the chorus in unison while the two singers jumped around on stage together. The collaboration between these two should definitely happen more often.

And watch our documentary about Chvrches and their fans that we shot prior to their concert in Central Park last summer below.
