Dirty Projectors Drop Glitchy Video For New Song 'Cool Your Heart'

    Dirty Projectors are on a roll lately. February 24th marks the day that Dirty Projector's new self-titled record will be released and yesterday, they released a new song "Cool Your Heart" on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. It was co-written by Solange and frontman Dave Longstreth and features guest vocalist Dawn Richard, aka DΔWN. They also released a glitchy, time-warping video to accompany the new song.

    The song was written when Dave Longstreth was working with Solange on her album, A Seat At The Table. It's an indie-pop track with light, tropical electronic beats and magical vocals from the duo as Longstreth and DΔWN sing about coping with a breakup by feeling content all by yourself. "Do you sail alone 'round the island where/ A silhouette of a shark beneath my skin." The video shows the two on a dark, empty road as they seem to rewind and fast-forward past each other in a creepy, glitchy way.

    It's the fourth single we've heard from Dirty Projector's upcoming album after "Keep Your Name," "Little Bubble," and "Up In Hudson."
