slinking and sinister single "Faster, Harder" starts out slow, and by the title you may be able to guess where it goes from there. The video looks like its right out of the 60s Velvet Underground scene from which the San Francisco band derives a lot of its musical influence. The new music video for the song is a cautionary tale: It's usually not a very good sign for your relationship if your significant other is toying with a switchblade, and if you're not careful with that you can get into a pretty unsavory threesome. So look out for that, unless you're into those kinds of things. Which is fine, no judgements here.
Royal Baths - "Faster, Harder" from stereogum on Vimeo.
"Faster, Harder" is off of Royal Baths sophomore album Better Luck Next Life
. The song does a great job making use of basic instruments and call and response vocals. Jeremy Cox sounds confident singing the sinister together. Royal Baths explores some dark material, and it sounds like they're having fun as Cox sings, "This wicked world is such a ball."
