It was recently revealed that Elton John is joining Josh Homme's rock n roll house party known as the sixth Queens of the Stone Age album. John will be joining the likes of fellow guests Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, and Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters). With the yet-to-be-named album scheduled to be released this June, Homme and Co. still have three more months to add even more special guests.

We're assuming this odd collaboration rooted in John's history with fellow guest Jake Shears. Here's a video of the big reveal on last night's Chelsea Lately, which was hosted by Grohl.

Elton John has made quite a few notable friends throughout the course of his extensive career. His musical touch is timeless, and his assistance can give any song of any genre that extra umph. So, yeah, we're pretty stoked for the new Queens of the Stone Age (if you can even call them that anymore), and here are two reasons why...

Alice In Chains - "Black Gives Way To Blue"

Scissor Sisters - "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'"
