In addition to lending her vocals to Kendrick Lamar
's albums To Pimp a Butterfly
and good kid, m.A.A.d. city, Anna Wise
also released her debut EP The Feminine: Act I,
which celebrated the womanhood and all of its flaws and beauties. Thankfully, it looks like it was a story that hasn't ended yet - she's now gearing up to release her second EP, The Feminine: Act II
, which continues the ongoing story of being a woman, with glitchy electronic percussion and soaring, get-you-lost-in-a-trance synths. The video features gorgeous choreography, where Wise is literally depending on other women, leaning on each other and lifting each other up. Her honesty about the struggles of being a female is pretty necessary.
