Mellow Out With Dungeonesse

Dungeonesse is slowing down the groove and pumping up the bubblegum. The synth pop group, made up of Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak) and John Ehrens (Art Department, White Life), will be releasing their self-titled debut on May 4th, and they've just teased us with the opening track, "Shucks." It's a mellow pop jam defending puppy love, and in addition to being less annoying than their first single, "Drive You Crazy," it's got a fair amount of depth considering its featherlight texture. Wasner's husky voice speaks in stereo, harmonizes with itself, and dips in and out of falsetto for a beautifully arranged vocal symphony.
