Batman Begins has released his fear toxin into the water supply of half of the indie record labels, but if there's been one recurring theme of this last two weeks' music videos, it is a recurring motif of nightmarish and surreal dream imagery. Whether it was the
Paranormal Activity disembodied dragging of Cloud Nothing's
"No Future/No Past", M. Ward's
"The First Time I Ran Away", or White Rabbit's
"Heavy Metal", it wasn't entirely certain whether these narratives were supposed to be really happening and the only thing we knew for sure was that they were freaking us out a little.
