It's been awhile since we last heard from Los Campesinos!, their last record, No Blues, was released in 2013. Finally, they're coming back as spunky as ever with Sick Scenes, the highly anticipated sixth record that discusses heartbreak, mental illness, and adulthood, very relevant topics that will surely get you hooked.

Los Campesinos! aka "The Peasants" are a 7-piece indie rock/indie pop band formed in 2006 in Cardiff, Wales. Now starting off with the first track, "Renato Dall'Ara (2008)," a super fun, cheery track that tells a story in a playful way. Youthful and fresh, it preps you for the rest of the album. "Flucloxacillin" speaks of mental illness. Although it discusses a tough topic it makes it easy to take in. A personal favorite, "Here's to the Fourth Time!," is upbeat but also easy to listen to.

Although some songs are lyrically dense and repetitive, their fun easygoing atmosphere is extremely enjoyable. This is a vibrant record that showcases the band's ability to stay relatable and youthful, even after a break.
