SONG OF THE DAY: 'Relative Peace (Oban Rework)' by Kimbra, Young Dreams, Jaga Jazzist

I was so afraid Kimbra disappeared after her stunning streak of singles ("Settle Down" or "Goldmine," anyone?), so when I found this new remix that she recently did in collaboration with Young Dreams, I was over the moon. The two artists took Jaga Jazzist's track "Oban" off of their latest album Starfire and transformed the instrumental psych-jazz track into essentially what is a female version of Tame Impala. Kimbra adds lyrics like, "say you're living in 'relative peace' / what good is my plea if you're relatively happy?" and "now we never speak, I still know what you think about." There's no doubt this song will make you feel like you're getting lost in a big black hole of unrequited love.
