"It's been 4 years, 7 months & 11 Days - long enough!..." Dirty Projectors frontman (and now the sole remaining member), Dave Longstreth, tweeted before releasing DP's self-titled album 3 days before the scheduled release (Feb. 24th).

Dirty Projector fans everywhere have been patiently waiting for a follow-up to 2012's Swing Lo Magellan and it's finally here. After a rough breakup between Longstreth and former Dirty Projectors member, Amber Coffman, Longstreth said he didn't see a future for the band. But instead of moping around, Longstreth decided to keep the band's name and release this self-titled album that turns his heartbreak and sadness into a record of warped, experimental electronics and futuristic R&B sounds.

Yesterday, Longstreth premiered the record by live streaming the album's vinyl on the Dirty Projectors' Facebook page and it's now available on Apple Music and Spotify.
