Letting the world know that there's still hip-hop being made in Chicago by people whose names aren't Kanye West, Common, or Lupe Fiasco, alternative hip-hop duo The Cool Kids
(Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish) just released one of the craziest hip-hop videos since last year's "Yonkers" (no vomiting, suicide or consumption of bugs this time around thankfully). "Rush Hour Traffic", off of last year's When Fish Ride Bicycles
, has been paired with footage of the duo driving around town and performing at one of their shows. The gimmick (and what a wonderful gimmick it is) is a slow and steady take-over of the video by psychedelic cartoon imagery til you finally start to wonder if someone slipped something in your morning joe. The song is good if not especially remarkable, but this video is just nuts.
