With a band name like Tennis, you might be forgiven for thinking there'd be more references to David Foster Wallace and Infinite Jest than the Decemberists music video for "Calamity Song". Alas all Ensfield Tennis Academy enthusiasts, there is no Eschaton going on in Tennis's new video/single, "Origins" (congratulations, if you got these jokes, you're a literature nerd). The good news is that the video is no less awesome for any overt existential literary references. Instead, we got a very low budget spy-story complete with gilly suits (Call of Duty style), armed ski slope chases, and a really fun indie pop track to tie it all together. It is one of the more awesome music videos we've watched all week, especially on its obviously non-existent budget.
