A lot of bands are referring to themselves as "spiritual" nowadays to avoid the vague label of "indie," but with Pumarosa, you can actually hear it in their music. Danceable bass grooves laid under atmospheric guitars and emotional vocals make for a powerful performance, and actually, a very spiritual experience. When I caught them live last year opening for Glass Animals, they made Terminal 5 feel like Madison Square Garden. They soared sonically all the way to the back of the room and further beyond - even when it wasn't an in-your-face dance song, it still had you moving in an otherworldly trance. They take that live energy and seamlessly transition it into their recordings, so even people who have never seen them live before can experience the mystical euphoria that is Pumarosa.
