Our series of "hitting the festival circuit in the spring/summer of 2016" Throwback Thursday posts continues this week with Of Monsters & Men
. Of Monsters & Men are the definition of a festival band. They've got big crowd-pleasing songs that are practically designed to be sung back to the band by thousands of people at once. The first time I ever saw Of Monsters & Men live was actually at a festival. It was at Bonnaroo in 2013, and it seemed so much more natural when I saw them there then the time I caught them in a traditional concert hall. They have such a pastoral sound that seeing them outside seems like the only option.
And then that reminded me. "Oh, hey, don't we have a session on the site with Of Monsters & Men that we shot at a festival?" Yes, yes we do. We got to shoot a very private session with Of Monsters & Men at the Cali desert festival a few years back, and considering the band is playing Coachella this year (and Governors Ball), maybe this will convince a couple of y'all to check them out in Indio or Randall's Island later this year.
