BARSUK KNOWS THE SCORE

Picking up where they left off in 2007, Barsuk Records has announced plans to release the official film score to the motion picture Kurt Cobain: About a Son. Having already handled the film’s official soundtrack back in September – a collection that went rummaging through 80’s underground artists like Bad Brains, Butthole Surfers, Iggy Pop, Melvins, and Mudhoney to name a few – this companion piece features a score penned by Northwest musician/producer Steve Fisk and Death Cab For Cutie’s Benjamin Gibbard. The score will be released to coincide with the DVD release of the film on February 19th. Look for a digital format, as well as a limited-edition, hand numbered, double vinyl pressing on this one. - David Pitz
