To Kill A King have been hard at work in the studio. With a new weekly podcast that will show the writing process of old demos for each song in order of the track listing, it is obvious they want to give their fans a peak into the creation process.

In anticipation of their upcoming self-titled album, the London based band has released a new song, "School Yard Rumors" and finds the band in a cheerful mood. The track has a positive vibe, with easy-listening guitar riffs, and catchy vocal melodies. The drum work is tight and rhythmic, only leaving for a small portion of the heavily synthesized bridge. The delivery of lines like "You don't go to school anymore / And I know it's not fair" have an air of hope and understanding. It's the perfect song to start your morning after going to bed upset. The lighthearted anthem will make the bad feel fine with an optimistic viewpoint.
