The Kills, stripped down their electric sound for the tender ballad
"The Last Goodbye" last night on David Letterman. The product shows a different side of the band, which turns out to be equally powerful. Everyone knows that Alison Mosshart screams her brains out with the best of them, but last night she proved that she can hold your attention by just standing there and letting her voice do the work. Also +1 points for the Barbie meets Bellatrix Lestrange hair.

Blood Pressures is out now, and the duo will wrap up their winter tour with Jeff The Brotherhood tomorrow at Terminal 5.
