Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. made their late night debut on
Conan with their emotionally perceptive "Simple Girl," off of their newest album
It's A Corporate World. They reworked the single nicely for a notoriously unruly talk-show-circuit stage. Dale Jr. Jr. is backed by a solid rhythm section and a classy live string quartet. Joshua Epstein also makes thrifty use of a land line telephone for backing harmonies. Conan comes in at the end, rightly impressed.
