Yes, the Spielberg kids. As in, Dad is reigning directorial king of Hollywood, Steven Spielberg. Not exactly a shock that Sasha, 24, and her brother Theo, 26, ended up in the entertainment industry. It was music, however, and not movies, that struck a chord with the siblings.

Wardell, the brother/sister Spielberg family band, is the latest bright alternative pop duo to come out of LA. With Theo on the instrumentals and Sasha's folksy-theatrical vocals, the due have produced a sound akin to the dog days pop of someone like Tennis or Beach House, but dialed up on the piano-pop vocals. Perhaps the best frame of reference comes from Sasha in an interview with the NYTimes Magazine's blog, "Theo grew up with punk, I grew up with pop, and we met at the Strokes."

In anticipation of their forthcoming debut album, Love/Idleness, Wardell has released the playfully sunny video for "Funny Thing". It's a day in the life montage in reverse, but not just any day in the life. It's a packed day in the life of filming a music video. From dance lessons to costume changes, to drum kits rolling through sets, the video is a lovely little snippet of a sunny day in a studio in LA.

Love/Idleness is due out on February 10th via Roc Nation.
