Chromeo Funkifies Boys Noize

Alex Ridha a.k.a. Boys Noize is on the fence between experimental electronics and dubstep, and he toes that line aggressively. Take "What You Want," a song that's apocalyptic, melodic, industrial, and an 80s theme song (hint: "Who you gonna call?") all at the same time. It's great. The only thing that could make it better? Chromeo. Case and point: P-Thugg and Dave 1 kept the machine-like roots of "What You Want" while amping up the funk. And we love it. "I wanted something else than the regular banging club versions and I thought of my friends Chromeo," said Ridha to Wired. "I told them they can do whatever they feel like. They completely blew me away with this super tight funk version." Listen to it below.
