Free The Nipple, Linda Escos' documentary about women lobbying for the right to go topless in public, has a little more star power behind it, thanks to Miley Cyrus' cover of Melanie Safka's 70s folk song Look What Theyve Done To My Song, Ma."

It's a new sound for Miley who, in reportedly two takes, captured a gritty, stripped down cover, showcasing her range as singer and not just a figure in music entertainment. The song chugs along with deep bass, raw guitar, and an underlying echo which kinda sounds like something that might come from Ryan Adams.

Take it for a spin below.
