All we wanted for Christmas was one more wonderful trip to Philly for cheese steaks and maybe a beer or two. Not only did we get our wish, but we got to film two great acts in the process:
Fanfarlo and
Freelance Whales, who both put on a great show at Johnny Brendas.
Freelance Whales looked delightfully nerdy and played a Broken Social Scene song.
Fanfarlo sported their usual look (tattered flags and lights adorned the stage), played their usual shimmery pop. Simon's hair was its usual wonderful mess. And the gang thought they spotted a bunch of
Team Zissou lookalikes, but we think it was just a bunch of people wearing red hats. Good taste in movies, gang! After seeing
Fantastic Mr. Fox I bet they will think everyone at the show is wearing bandit hats and stealing chickens.
