Earlier this week it was reported that Drake and Diddy had a physical altercation at DJ Khaled's birthday party in Miami. What no one seemed to know was why. Initially reports surfaced that the fight was over Cassie, Diddy's long time girlfriend. Turns out the fight wasn't over a girl but a boy, producer Boi-1da. According to Hip Hop Early, Boi-1da had sent both Diddy and Drake the same beat. Diddy allegedy slept on it, so Drake allegedly just went ahead and recorded over it. Those recordings became Drake's double Grammy nominated song "0 to 100." TMZ surfaced video footage from June that seems to corroborate this theory. In the footage Diddy is introducing "0 to 100": "I gave this shit to this n***a. This n***a stole the shit from me. But, at the end of the day, the shit is still hard." Not exactly a stretch to think that a few drinks and two Grammy nods later, Diddy isn't feeling so chummy about the whole thing.
Though few solid details of the altercation have emerged, it's been confirmed that Drake was hospitalized after the brawl. It was a previous injury that was merely exacerbated by the fight that landed Drake in the hospital. Watch the video for the song that started it all below:
