For their newest video, French electronic duo Justice
enlisted actress Susan Sarandon to help create the feel of late 80's coolness. SUSAN FRICKIN' SARANDON. The video, made for the track "Fire" off of Justice's latest album Woman
, features the French duo washing a chrome '85 Celica, before cruising through the LA desert with the iconic actress (who seriously looks so good, especially for 70-years-old). With throwback starter jackets, denim, as well as a drink serving robot (that looks suspiciously like the one from Rocky IV), this video is the pinnacle of 80s coolness.
"Fire" is composed of the same funky electronic sounds that the duo is known for, and the video captures the 80's retro-futurism that the song evokes. With its dense soundscapes of manipulated voices, retro synths, and funky drums, the song encapsulates some of the best of Justice's style. Though the song wasn't a standout on the album, with this video will likely draw attention to this overlooked gem.
