BAEBLE FIRST PLAY: 'This Beautiful Life' by Colony House

    Today, we have the exclusive premiere of "This Beautiful Life," the new song from Nashville-based rock band Colony House. The track is off of their forthcoming sophomore album Only The Lonely, which is set to drop on January 13th via RCA Records.

    Singer Caleb Chapman sings extremely personal and worried lyrics, "There must be more to this beautiful life / And I can't be satisfied" and although he never finds an answer to his question, it sounds very hopeful sonically. Soaring vocal harmonies begin to join in to make for a chilling, almost spiritual hymn. "This Beautiful Life" is a stripped down acoustic song with little polish and a ton of authenticity and after getting a few tastes of When I Was Younger's follow up, it's looking like this record is going to be very raw, personal, and fun.

    "'This Beautiful Life' is one of those songs that felt like always existed, it was just my job to discover it...if that makes any sense." Frontman Chapman says about the song. "I don't know if I have ever felt so confident in something that is so vulnerable. When recording the song, we wanted to make sure that the vulnerability was captured, so we put up a couple mics and recorded one take of the acoustic and vocals together. It was one of those special moments in the studio where you are reminded that the imperfections are what make something beautiful."
