Those of you who consulted our guide to Record Store Day's Black Friday event are most likely spinning St. Vincent's newly released 10" vinyl EP, and feeling sorry for the poor brats who've had to wait for the two new songs to surface online. You were taken by Ms. Annie Clarke's charming YouTube promo, you learned from her tutorial how to properly operate a record player, and you bought the artfully designed 10". You win. Poor brats: St. Vincent's two new songs, "Pieta," and "Sparrow" have surfaced online.

Both tracks are steeped in HD religious imagery. On the A-side is "Pieta," a hymnal spread over an afro-funk beat that opens on a lyric act of questionable holiness: "baptized in the shallow end of a holiday inn." The B-side, "Sparrow," is a darker quest, distorted, and sonically familiar to St. Vincent's phenomenally strange self-titled LP. Stream both tracks below (via well hydrated)
