Things get weird as Foster The People show us the darker side of wealth and opulence in their new music video for the track "Call It What You Want." The video is full of surreal imagery that will definitely lead to some head scratching and murmurs of "WTF?" ...make out sessions with mirror-selves, talking bacon, a bevvy of beauties, and making people explode with blue blood all seem to be the norm for the L.A. based band in this alternate reality.
The video kicks off with the scraggly script of the words "Idle hands are the devil's workshop." Could they be trying to show us the downside of having too much free time that can result from being in a successful band, or just having some fun with a big budget? Get ready to pound some bubble wrap with a gold fist after the jump.
As for the song itself, the groove can not be denied. The dark keys in juxtaposition with the high pitch of the refrain "call it what you want" create a pretty solid tune, and the song showcases the fact that Foster The People are more than just "Pumped Up Kicks."
