As many of you may already know, Lil' Wayne will be released from prison tomorrow. It seems like only yesterday he was first incarcerated, and recording songs over the phone for Drake and sports blogging and stuff. Funny that we'd joke about TI going back to jail in 2011 because TRUTHBOMBS. Anyways, Bill Clinton had something to say about it!
Listen to his call-in to a Pittsburgh radio station:
"Lollipop" is a very smart song, don't you think? Lil Wayne, McRibs, this week keeps getting better!
In other news, other former President George W. Bush was talking about how Kanye's infamous commentary on his values was the low point of his presidency.
"Bush told [Matt] Lauer, 'it was one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency.'
Bush went on, 'He called me a racist. And I didn't appreciate it then. I don't appreciate it now. It's one thing to say, 'I don't appreciate the way he's handled his business.' It's another thing to say, 'This man's a racist.' I resent it, it's not true.'
There is a lot of talk about how Bush should have picked a different moment as his low point, blah blah, politics as usual, etc. Bush's new book Decision Points is out soon, let's all read it and argue about it later.
Two presidents commenting on two rappers? My Dark Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? Tha Carter IV? I'd say it's going to be an excellent month for rap.-joe puglisi
