Zoe Kravitz and her band Lolawolf
made quite a splash at their first showearlier this month at Mercury Lounge. The rock goddess performed with grace, but was admittedly nervous debuting their first few tracks. Kravitz, who comes from rock royalty, definitely inherited her dad's pipes, stage presence, and of course, his beauty.
Kravitz opened with the group's first single "Drive" with alto-style vocals. Their music is pop influenced and tinted with 80s dance rhythm. She grabbed the audience's attention with "Xplode" and ended the set with second single "Wanna Have Fun." The bridge between New York and California exists in Kravitz's music as she is not afraid to put you in a trance with her sexy vocals.
Lolawolf's second single "Wanna Have Fun" was recently remixed by Mike Simonetti. We're fans of the spacey and dream-like quality it has, and we absolutely can't wait to see what else Ms. Kravitz has to offer. Also, if there is any truth to those rumors about her canoodling with Drake, we expect a duet very soon.
