New Song: Wild Flag

Thank-God-for-girl band Wild Flag unveiled a new song during their visit to Chicago radio station WBEZ. After playing a few cuts from their stellar debut album, the four took on "Nothing", which has, at this point, been only occasionally played live. Mary Timony first carved a mean riff as she hooped and hollered, divulging how "nothing comes from nothing." (Deep). Here, we see Carrie Brownstein shying away from any vocals and sticking to a strong use of her whammy bar. Janet Weiss and Rebecca Cole lace delicate backing vocals while directly sticking to their respective crunching drums and icy keyboard melodies. Wild Flag really can do no wrong. Check the video below and catch the rest of their WBEZ session here.
