Ryan Adams Loses It Over Fan Flash Photography

It's a given when you're on assignment to cover a show and in the photo pit, you do not, under any circumstances, use the flash on your camera. Unfortunately, fans in the crowd don't realize how distracting and disruptive it can be to the performer, and in Ryan Adams case, an extremely painful experience.

Adams suffers from Meniere's disease which is an inner ear disorder that affects balance and hearing, and can be set off by sudden flashes of light. At his recent Tower Theater concert, a concertgoer used the flash on her phone, which brought the show to an abrupt halt.

"Hi, my name is Ryan and I have Mnires Disease. If you flash me with your camera, it feels like you took a lightsaber and you sliced my brain in half."
